FRAME BUILDING MILANO
Frame Building is the output of an architectural and energy redevelopment project that transformed B95, a building located at Via Bisceglie 95 in Milan (Italy), already owned by Sviluppo Immobiliare Corio.
The building consists of two overlapping volumes that create a large wooden terrace on the first floor, with six floors above ground and one floor below ground, providing for more than 8,000 m2 of office space, in addition to 130 covered and 51 uncovered parking spaces.
The building design focuses on width and light. Multifunctional and versatile spaces are illuminated by large windows with a minimal and elegant feel overlooking courtyards, creating the perfect modern working environment.
Metal elements oscillate vertically to generate horizontal cuts in the string courses, resulting in innovative harmonic tension. Lights are integrated into the façade to bring the property to life at night, like a large urban lantern.
The comprehensive redevelopment of an energy-inefficient building from the early 2000s challenged the property and project team to pursue a renovation based on clear values and prerogatives, with a global approach. The results of this project go far beyond mere visual appeal, with improvements to the flexibility and quality of spaces, better integration of indoor, outdoor, and green areas, and improved energy performance (recognized with LEED Gold certification).
The development of the building was a joint effort coordinated by SIC, in partnership with the architect Stefano Belingardi Clusoni, founder of BE.ST Belingardi Stefano (the project’s design architect and artistic director), and the L22 Civil Engineering team, a branch of the Lombardini22 Group. The latter was responsible for planning, managing, and executing the renovation project, which involved coordinating architecture, systems, LEED certification, administrative procedures, safety, and DL.
